**General Manager**

**Columbia, MD**

**Job duties include but are not limited to:**

* Work closely with executive management on strategic planning, process enhancement, recruitment and training, labor allocation, legal and contract matters, production management, and other special projects related to general operations.

* Assist with strategic planning initiatives of the company.

* Implement process improvements, focusing on efficiency.

* Support development of a strong culture with a top-graded team.

* Develop metrics that will drive behaviors and bottom line.

* Support, troubleshoot, and streamline general operations.

* Serve as a liaison between the Columbia, MD headquarters location and the company's satellite offices in Irvine, CA and Boca Raton, FL, including enhancing coordination between offices.

* Establish yearly departmental goals and measure results.

* Develop and document internal control procedures, including training and monitoring.

* Oversee the company's transition to Procore - manage consultants as needed, develop training plan and rollout to staff, manage process and milestone schedule for rollout and implementation, and negotiate/manage agreement with software company on the company's behalf.

* Work with senior management and project managers to: optimize labor resources across these functions to both service existing clients as well as support future projects, troubleshoot resource allocation and project assignment conflicts, and assist in managing/keeping software up to date with resource allocation for the field and project management teams.

* Review and scrutinize contracts prepared for client jobs.

* Address and resolve lawsuit and liability claims for various client projects.

* Oversee insurance management and review.

* Provide direct oversight of the company's department heads of human resources and information technology.

* Oversee offices, daily resource needs, and manage administrative personnel.

* Support the human resources department to do the following: develop and implement a comprehensive training program and standard operating procedures, develop and implement an improved employee performance management system, and develop growth plans for individual employees and coordinate training needs.

* Assist with developing a strong sense of culture and team.

* Update and monitor yearly IT budget.

* Evaluate IT needs within each department, focusing on efficiency, effectiveness, and implementation success.

* Streamline intradepartmental IT communication and systems.

**Skills/Qualifications**

* Minimum of eight (8) years of operations experience in the construction industry.

* Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, and/or business required.

* Experience in personnel supervision, team development, contract review, and information technology required.

* Demonstrates ownership mentality, entrepreneurial mindset, critical thinking, original ideas, risk management discipline, and proactive work style.

* Ability to work independently to achieve individual and corporate goals.
