General Summary:
As a member of the senior leadership team, provides direct supervision of assigned program managers and directors in the Families & Communities service line. Responsible for program and personnel management, financial oversight, and company-wide leadership initiatives. Responsible for coordination, monitoring and evaluating management-level staff for the service line and assists the programs in following procedures consistent with the Sheppard Pratt organization and the contracts that govern the programs.
Principal Responsibilities and Duties:
Program Representative:
Serves as a liaison between Program Directors and Service Line Chief
Serves on the Families and Communities Senior Leadership Team.
Provides direct supervision to Program Directors and Managers for each program assigned to them.
Represents their programs on task forces, in contract negotiations, meetings with community and government partners, and on State and County Commissions where applicable.
Program Development and Quality Assurance:
Responsible for assisting Sheppard Pratt leadership with program expansion and business development within the Families and Communities service line.
Reviews each program's policies and procedures to ensure that they meet each program's regulatory authorities.Leads staff through RFP, relicensing, CARF accreditation, and/or other monitoring processes.
Ensures that each program is operating within Sheppard Pratt mission and guiding principles.
Research opportunities for funding and resource development and assist with grant/ proposal writing for assigned programs.
Financial:
Develop and oversee each program's budget in conjunction with the finance team. Track all program spending and assist in preparation of budget modifications as needed.
Grant/proposal writing for continuation of various programs and potential expansions.
Organizational Oversight and Responsibilities:
Represent the organization as senior-level staff.
Responsibility to implement company-wide initiatives, goals, and procedures.
Maintain awareness of community needs and identify opportunities to expand the organization to include business partnerships.Responds to RFP's, develops business plans and/or seeks grant funding as directed by Sheppard Pratt leadership.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Master's degree in social work, psychology, or related field with 4 years relevant experience, 2 of which must be managerial/supervisory in nature. Or a bachelor's degree with 10 years relevant experience, 2 of which must be managerial/supervisory in nature.
Excellent written and public speaking skills required. Experience managing grants and providing fiscal oversight for multiple programs.
Must be able to promote a cohesive and well-functioning team.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach to program management are essential.
Must provide strong leadership to the service line programs.
Experience with EMRs, Zoom, and Microsoft products etc.
Grant writing experience preferred.
