First Quality is a diversified family of companies manufacturing consumer products ranging from Absorbent Hygiene (adult incontinence, feminine care, and baby care), Tissue (bath and towel), and Industrial (print and packaging materials), serving institutional and retail markets throughout the world. First Quality focuses on private label and branded product lines.We are seeking an Information Security Architect for our First Quality Enterprise working remotely from the Eastern Time Zone. This position provides leadership as well as in-depth expertise in all security aspects surrounding the implementation and operation of Information Technology solutions to improve the ability of the organization to protect the confidentiality, availability, and integrity of its information assets.Primary responsibilities include:* Lead security architecture framework to be implemented across all IT and IS projects* Provide security architecture design reviews for company-wide projects, setting security controls requirements and guidance to the project team.* Create security design documents for on-going projects* Provide technical guidance to the SOC team for security controls context and on-going efficiency* Maintain awareness of industry methods and techniques for information security and Enterprise Architecture and make recommendations for their adoption where appropriate.* Research emerging security technologies and conduct POCs (Proof Of Concept) projects with all relevant stakeholders (from both IT and IS teams)* Investigate, recommend, and assist with implementing security solutions that provide detection, prevention, containment, and deterrence mechanisms to protect and maintain the integrity of data and network resources.* Define security product requirements, conduct research, evaluation, testing, configuration, and implementation, to include identify management, access control, and intrusion prevention solutions.* Provide technical guidance to the GRC team with assessing 3rd party vendors and supply chain.* Provide technical guidance for periodic penetration tests conducted on different corporate systems.* Perform detailed and routine assessment to ensure use of established security policies, practices and expectations across all platforms, operating systems, and applications.The ideal candidate should possess the following:* Bachelors' Degree or Equivalent Experience in Computer Science, EE, Data Network Security Architecture and Design.* Minimum 5 years of experience running security solutions on network/security engineering/security operations.* Knowledge of IT security controls - firewalls, SIEM platforms, NAC, CASB, DLP, IPS/IDS, encryption, authentication, tokenization, XDR/EDR tools and desktop virtualization security.* Broad knowledge of network security practices, designs, methodologies, tools, and processes.* Comprehensive knowledge of network architectures, equipment, and designs.* Knowledge of computer/network forensics.* Knowledge of vulnerability scanners and how to successfully implement and maintain an enterprise patching program.* Security risk assessment skills.* Ability to function in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment using persuasion, expertise, and judgment to affect change.* Self-motivated with the ability to move multiple projects forward at one time.* Willingness to work on improving your security knowledge for the areas that are currently not your strength.* Discretion and sensitivity requiring absolute confidentiality.* Strong attention to detail and follow through skills.* Some travel via car or air to company locations required, which may require overnight stays.Estimated annual base salary range for this position is $130,000 - $180,000.Base pay is only part of our total compensation package, which also includes an attractive annual discretionary bonus and robust suite of employee benefits for which you are eligible to participate in starting on your first day of employment.Base pay offered will be determined on an individualized basis and we will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.First Quality is committed to protecting information under the care of First Quality Enterprises commensurate with leading industry standards and applicable regulations.
