Starting at $73k DOE + Bonus PotentialMaverik is looking to add a talented Instructional Designer to the team This individual will be responsible for the design and development of Maverik's training and content to support organizational objectives and goals. If you are passionate about making a difference in the continued development and growth of an organization, apply todayWhat you'll doDevelop a strong understanding of our organizational objectives and create training programs aligned with these goalsGather requirements, analyze, define scope, design, and develop blended dynamic, and engaging 'best in class' learning experiences by creating engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer of learningDesign and develop instructional programs, e-learning materials, and Instructor Led Training to support policies and process changes in a fast-paced agile environmentCapturing content and producing media assets (shooting/editing video, voice-overs, scripting)Manage timelines, expectations, and deliverables with internal stakeholders throughout the development processSupport the ongoing maintenance of curriculum assetsDeploy content in our LMS per specifications set by LMS administratorCollaborate and build relationships with subject matter experts to identify target audience's training needs and build outcome-based trainingEnsure that content meets application functionality and branding standardsPerform quality assurance and summative program evaluation and implement changes.Translate technical concepts into non-technical training for various types of audiencesOccasional weekend/evening work required to accomplish trainingAdditional responsibilities as assignedWhat we're looking forBachelor's degree in relevant field, Instructional Design Certificate, or equivalent experienceMaster's Degree preferred2+ years demonstrated success of instructional design experienceExperience in e-learning authoring programs such as Adobe Suite, Articulate 360, and Camtasia for online course creationStrong project management skillsVideo creation and editing experience; working knowledge of media equipment (camera, lighting, 360, etc.); editing graphicsScript writing and voice over work;VR experience (360 imaging, etc.)The ability to adapt to changed circumstances, tasks, responsibilities & people to achieve optimum resultsPractice operating independently without the need for continuous oversight or directionA pattern of identifying the root cause for issues and using effective problem-solving methods to arrive at the best resolution optionDemonstrated strong written & verbal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organizationExcellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including strong listening skillsSelf-starterLeadership CompetenciesCommunication: Delivers clear, effective communication and listens to others.Conceptual/Systems Thinking: Recognizes patterns, trends, themes, and connections in information to develop innovative ideas and solutions.Constructive Engagement: Expresses ideas and disagreements, constructively resolves conflict, and encourages others to do the same.Customer Orientation: Meets the expectations and needs of internal and external customers.Decision Making: Makes good decisions in a timely manner.Empowerment: Takes initiative and solves problems.Talent Development: Maximizes potential and improves overall fluence: Proactively builds relationships and influences others.Analytical Thinking/Problem Solving: Accurately assesses problems and effectively and efficiently arrives at solutions.Strategic Thinking: Understands the current state and is able to visualize the ideal state and how to achieve it.
