RER Solutions, Inc., is accepting resumes for an Electric Utility Policy and Programs Senior Advisor to become a part of our superior workforce in the Washington, DC area. The Electric Utility Policy and Programs Senior Advisor will support the Joint Office's strategy for effective utilization of right-of-ways for EV charging, electric transmission and distribution, and renewable electricity generation.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Act as the primary interface with utilities of all types (IOU, muni, co-op), utility regulators, relevant NGO's, and federal/state/tribal/local governments to align incentives and outcomes that will result in the expeditious deployment of an affordable, reliable, convenient, and equitable EV charging network
  • Serve as the point person for the Joint Office on internal efforts, such as EV Grid Assist and Right-of-Way Utilization, to align efforts and ensure meaningful outcomes
  • Provide thought leadership and recommend to JO/DOE/DOT leadership enabling utility policies and stakeholder engagement strategies to achieve the Administration's goal of 500k charging stations by 2030
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on utility topics to Joint Office program managers as well as technical assistance inquiries by Joint Office stakeholders
  • Lead relevant special projects as assigned by the Joint Office Executive Director.


Requirements

  • Minimum of US Citizenship required to obtain client-issued Public Trust
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in electric utility policies and programs
  • Able to demonstrate thought leadership
  • Experience working with, or within an electric utility, on transportation electrification
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and an understanding of fundamental business writing
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Products (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)


EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree
