ETL/Informatica Developer with Security Clearance

Job description
Northstrat is searching for personnel experienced in Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) with a focus on Informatica. Specific areas of interest are: Informatica Administrators, Architects and Developers. The preferred candidate will facilitate the identification, definition, and documentation of client needs and will make a determination as to which ELT or Informatica functionality will best support the customer's long and short-term needs. The candidate would serve designing, development, testing and administration of Informatica PowerCenter workflows and mappings (source and target). Qualified candidates will also be conducting transition of PL/SQL ETLs to new mappings, or modification of existing mappings, optimize workflows to Warehousing standards, and managing performance. Additionally, they will be responsible for developing technical design documentation, test plans, change management packages, and presentation materials for internal briefings.

Create data mapping and workflows to extract, transform and load data into the target environments (batch files, databases) Create new mappings, transition of PL/SQL ETLs to new mappings, or modification of existing mappings Create or Maintain Technical design documents and develop test plans for ETL unit testing and integration testing Work and Interact with functional and integration teams on architecture and design Tune and optimize ETL batch jobs for performance and throughput Conform to workflow and mapping standards so that development is done in a consistent manner across all development resources Develop ETL workflows and mappings for optimized Oracle and Postgres Data Warehouses. Assist with troubleshooting ETL batch jobs, session failure, tunning mappings and more across environments Work and Support Infrastructure and development teams
Perform quality assurance for the design, development, and testing of system enhancements and changes that are made to BI systems, data stores, and processes to ensure that they function according to design
Provide technical support, analyze issues, and recommend solutions regarding data loading, data transformation, and reporting
Build partnerships by working closely with customers to understand their business needs. Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and other customer personnel to achieve solutions to the defined business needs
Provide technical guidance and business process expertise on special projects or system issues to other staff members
Be committed to continuous learning and strive to increase relevant skills and knowledge required for the position. Keep abreast of the latest developments in information technology and computer software, and be committed to continuous improvement of the development and support services being delivered to clients Qualifications required:
Candidates with 5+ years of Informatica and 3+ years of other ETL tool experience could be considered Ability to collaborate with other team members to design and develop ETL processes using Informatica Powercenter Oracle SQL/ PL/SQL experience and an understanding of dimensional data models Qualifications desired:
Work is performed in a multi-contractor environment that involves daily interactions with customers and peers from other companies. The successful candidate must exhibit a high degree of professionalism, flexibility, and tolerance to change Requires periodic status presentations to customers and program management Understanding of the operational environments into which the developed technologies are deployed Scripting, coding, and database experience would be very beneficial Previous use and/or creation of automated testing capabilities Experience in Informatica Powercenter Installation, Administration and Configuration would be a plus Data modeling, Business Intelligence tools, and IDQ experience are a plus but not required Familiarity with MicroStrategy would be a plus Education and Technical Skills:
Minimum of BS or higher degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, or experience in related field Must have strong technical and/or operations skills Education and Technical Skills:
BS or BA in Computer Science, Math, Engineering or Other Technical Field (or Non-Technical BS/BA with 5 or more year's relevant IT experience)
