JRogers Consulting LLC (JRC) has an immediate need for an event planner/logistics manager to lead and oversee the planning and execution of a DoD Event. We are looking for a team player who values quality and strives to solve our clients' most pressing challenges. The ideal candidate enjoys a fast-pace, diverse environment with a variety of tasks and opportunities for growth and development. The event planner /logistics manager leads and directs a variety of initiatives, tasks and deliverables, ensuring high quality delivery and focusing on exceeding client expectations. This role is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of a two-week program that involves one week of travel. Event Planner must be able to be in residence with the group for two weeks and lead a group of 40 people. Specifically, the Event Planner/Logistics Manager will: Solicit, negotiate and contract with hotels for all participants and staff in each location. Arrange all transportation (air and ground) for our programs, including all commercial coach buses to airports and other locations. This involves coordination with military base protocol for vehicle access permits. Coordinate set-up in every conference space and other execution logistics requirements for the program, including all meeting rooms, audio visual equipment, video conferencing arrangements, meals and banquets, transportations, internet, and printing/copying of conference packages for both attendees and speakers. Support registration including creating signage, managing check in, collecting participant background information, verifying contact information, speaker and participant biographies, and materials such as name badges, participant binders, and other administrative items. Provide on-site event support including the monitoring and continued coordination of facility and event requirements, attendee registration, dissemination of conference materials, etc. Position Qualifications
5-10 years of experience (primarily in the federal government market) working with clients to solve challenges, design and implement new strategies, help them meet their goals while exceeding expectations.
Effective intuition, problem solving, and flexibility. Strong written and verbal skills to effectively communicate at all levels in government and industry. Exhibit the acumen to represent a professional organization at all levels.
Thrives in an environment characterized by problem-solving, rapid pace, tight schedules, high quality delivery, and working across multiple entities and capture events.
BA degree required
