Knowledge Engineer (KE)/Knowledge Manager (KM)Location: Pentagon (on site)Clearance: Top Secret, must be verifiable in JPASMYMIC is seeking a KE/KM with JavaScript and other web technology experience to support SharePoint development. Developers will work as part of a team to provide enterprise solutions including portals, web-parts, Apps and SharePoint (SP) solutions. The KE/KM enables synergy by integrating requirements, initiatives, and developments to leverage knowledge and information to facilitate the decision-making process.Job Duties:* Develop smart, consolidated, and aligned IT solutions and to provide problem resolution and mission-oriented customer technical interface* Develop SP and KM tools based in support of user requirements* Provide recommendations to stakeholder Baseline Requirements Documents* Develop workflows to streamline business processes* Oversee and manage site owners, including their permissions* Manage site collection and site features* Create and modify user groups and assign, modify, and troubleshooting permissions* Create views, filter data, group metadata and sort data in libraries and lists* Support stakeholders in the development of a KM strategy in which they will centralize data, standardize data elements, share database information, utilize common IT systems, and expose IT data/services for maximum information sharing.* Create, maintain, archive and present metrics in support of KM transformation and process improvement efforts* Provide support to transition to newer KM/collaborative tool platforms and, if required, supports transition/moving data to Enterprise hosted sites* Keep the customer abreast of activity status, resolve issues as needed, and facilitate solutions using enterprise IT capabilities* Provide recommendations in the development and update of KM Directives* Assist users in website design and build, add and configure web parts, manage permissions for site users, and controlling accessesBasic skills required:* Must be able to work well independently and with a team* Must have effective communication skills* Must be able to gather requirements and implement themEducation and Experience:* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college and 5 years of task related experience* Experience with SharePoint Designer, scripting; CSS, JavaScript, HTML, and C#* Experience designing and creating custom forms using InfoPath* Experience creating custom site and list templates, custom level permissions, and content types* Experience creating or editing workflows* Knowledge of using calculated columns
