PURPOSE: The Health Hygiene and Specialties Division has an immediate opening for a Controller to support our Benson, NC facility. This position will report directly to Regional Finance Director, with dotted line reporting relationships to the site Plant Director. The position will provide day-to-day support to each leadership team. Responsibilities Promote and support highest level of safety, both personally and with others throughout daily activities. Perform monthly safety observation(s) and complete available safety training. Ensure accuracy of all accounting activities, production reporting and inventory control. Provide monthly/quarterly forecasting and coordinate preparation of all month-end plant closing activities. Responsible for annual plant budget preparation. Responsible for ensuring accounting records maintained at the location accurately reflect the plant's operating performance and physical assets. Hands on involvement with operations to optimize efficiencies with inventory and customer service levels. Prepare and analyze cost estimates for new business and product proposals. Drive improved financial performance by identifying and executing opportunities to reduce costs and generate profits. Capital planning for plant maintenance. Ensure internal financial controls and SOX compliance are achieved annually. Train plant leadership on basic financial tools. Qualifications B.S. Degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA a plus. Minimum of 7 years' experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 3 years in a manufacturing plant. Problem solver and quick learner. Positive communicator and a team player. Computer proficiency and the ability to learn new systems. Experience with JDE is a plus. Able to identify, define, prioritize, and address issues impacting the P&L. Ability to work efficiently and critically think about business problems and solutions. Able to communicate effectively and coordinate information to the plant. Ability to focus on key areas of the plant to help drive improvement. Ability to travel up to 25%.
