Contract Specialist: Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor s degree and experience with federal contracting (DoD R&D contracting highly desirable). Six (6) years of specialized contracting experience. Responsibilities will include: Participating in negotiating, awarding, or administering contracts, or the analysis of procurement policies and procedures. Administering the terms and conditions of contracts, including such aspects as preparing contract modifications, evaluation of performance under the contract, and contract termination. Analyzing proposed prices or costs, including such aspects as evaluating technical and audit reports, forecasting price trends, evaluating economic factors, estimating production. Efficiencies and evaluating methods of allocating cost through various types of overhead and general and administrative expense. Formulating policies and procedures for the acquisition of goods or services, participating in procurement management reviews and contract clearance, or developing positions on claims and protests related to contracts. Candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of programs, with solid skills in Excel. Must be able to function individually and also fit seamlessly into the overall team. Must be organized, meticulous, and able to multi-task. Must be willing to ask questions, correct mistakes, learn from mistakes and keep moving forward. Clear, professional communications, written and verbal, are vital to succeed in this position. Job Type: Full-time Hybrid - In office at least 1x/week and work from home. Current procedures such as daily check-in via email and telephonic/video meetings are required.
