To learn more about Berry, visit Responsibilities SUMMARY To bring correct and sufficient amounts of materials to machines, maintain correct inventories, determine which orders to run at a certain time. Control scrap. Monitor and identify raw material usage variances. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Supply color and resin to assigned machines Maintain grinders Grind and/or dispose of scrap Operate machine in order to give breaks Perform color changes on assigned machines Create production labels Scan out of color Maintain the resin silo board Check color chips for color match Monitor and control scrap and regrind usage Report scrap in detail Follows applicable Food Safety and cGMP policies Qualifications EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE High School diploma/or GED required 1-2 Years of production experience preferred Forklift experience strongly preferred Valid driver's license required KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS Time-management and organizational skills required Ability to develop a routine essential Ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal) necessary Basic computer skills strongly preferred Ability to comprehend the operation of a central resin system needed Basic mechanical skills and abilities required PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
