To learn more about Berry, visit Responsibilities Position works closely with the maintenance department to develop and coordinate preventive maintenance schedules with both internal and consultant-led projects. Position serves as a point person among internal and external stakeholders, as well as consultant teams, to ensure efficient coordination of projects. Position is considered the subject matter expert of maintenance planning and inventory practices using a CMMS systems. Position supports a 24/7 manufacturing environment requiring overtime and on call availability as needed to support plant operations. Ensure compliance to all safety policies and procedures. Establish, support and maintain a 'safety first' culture. Supports and investigates situations in which line/equipment stoppage occurs due to perceived, imminent safety risk. Actively leads risk assessment activities for their area of responsibility by driving prioritized corrective and preventative actions to eliminate/reduce environmental, health or safety risks. Communicates with internal and external stakeholders the requirements of the preventive maintenance task. Estimates labor hours, tools, and resources needed to effectively complete work orders. Prepares preventative maintenance plans and schedules that meet the organization's maintenance goals. Monitors and adjust schedules to account for unexpected emergency work. Acts as the primary liaison between maintenance and operations for preventative maintenance requirements. Demonstrates effective time management and organizational skills and successfully manages time-sensitive situations with competing priorities. Leads communication between maintenance and other internal beneficiaries of maintenance work to ensure that all stakeholders receives timely, efficient, and quality service. Coordinate planned downtimes to reduce mean time between failures and minimize interference with production schedules. Minimize the number of interruptions once work begins. Establish job goals for the maintenance workforce. Provide immediate insights into potential labor shortages (or excesses). Assists with keeping an optimal stock of spare parts and materials. Prepare and ensure compliance with preventive maintenance checklists and other standardized procedures. Create maintenance schedules and generate work orders Maintain parts inventory Create procedural manuals that explain how to accomplish assigned tasks Assist and support maintenance manager as needed Maintains records and files essential to maintenance management Coordinate with maintenance staff, contractors, and external vendors as needed Qualifications Qualifications: Two year Vocational/Technical school degree in Industrial Maintenance Preferred 5+ years of experience in Industrial Maintenance Education/Experience: Formalized training in related areas i.e. welding, mechanics, rigging is highly desired.
