Job description

ICI Services is an Employee-Owned Company providing Engineering & Integration, Systems Acquisition, Information Warfare, and In-Service Sustainment support to government customers. We are seeking a Naval / Marine Engineer to support our Navy customer in Washington, DC. The ideal Candidate will have experience with commercial shipbuilding programs such as the American Bureau shipping Standards, Military Sealift command shipbuilding programs, or US Coast Guard Ship building programs. Experience in ship design, HM&E processes, 3D Modeling, and piping design is preferred. The candidate must hold an engineering degree in engineering with Naval or Marine engineering preferred. This position will be onsite at a ship design site or the Washington Navy Yard. Security Clearance: Applicant must be eligible to hold an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET personnel security clearance. Position/Job Description:
General Tasking Description: Provide engineering/technical support for concept studies; feasibility studies; preliminary design activities; contract design activities; detail design and construction activities; independent design reviews. In-service ship design and engineering activities; shipboard installation support; and special studies related to ships/boats/craft, ship systems and/or shipboard equipment. The employee shall facilitate and provide required technical information expertise to Integrated Process Teams (IPTs), special advisory boards, off-sites, working groups and audit teams. The employee shall perform research and work along with USCG, ABS, and other key stakeholders, such as the Military Sealift Command (MSC). Experience Requirements: 1-5 years DoD/Navy program management, Government technical management, or Industry business management. Familiarity with DoD/DoN procedures and Policies (DoD 5000 process); Foreign Military Sales; Military Sealift Command procedures and processes; Supervisory experience; experience communicating with SES/Flag level personnel; ship building experience desired. Experience in Commercial Ship Building programs, Military Sealift Command Shipbuilding programs, or Coast Guard ship building programs is required. Experience with Marine Diesel, Naval/Marine Equipment Auxiliary, Navy Main propulsion systems, HM&E, and/or Ship services diesel generator (SSDG). Educational & Certification Requirements: Bachelor s degree in engineering or business Management Discipline Master s degree in engineering or business Management Discipline Preferred Professional Engineer License. Preferred. Membership to Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME) or American Society of Naval Engineer (ASNE) is preferred. EOE/M/F/ Disability/Vet/ VEVRAA Federal Contractor
