Location: DC Metro Area, McLean, VA or Reston, VA We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist to join our team! This is a unique opportunity to work on an exciting project that is very rewarding. In this role, you will provide quantitative modeling and research for the project. You will independently navigate a complex and evolving data environment, develop code to translate semi-structured text to structured data, perform complex modeling and statistical analysis to identify anomalous events, and migrate evolving analytic workflow into production use. Job Specifications/Requirements: Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, International Relations, Mathematics, Statistics, Political Science, or related field. Experience with R, Python or related software package. Experience with advanced analytic methods such as ordinal logistic regression, copulas, LASSO/elastic nets, bootstrapping, and k-fold cross validation.
Knowledge of and experience with machine learning, data wrangling, advanced statistical data analysis and modeling
The ability to perform complex analyses and communicate its results using accurate, concise, and effective writing.
